ANDY RICHTER
CONTROLS THE UNIVERSE
Sometimes in television, there comes along a show that is so dramatic, so emotional, so moving that words alone can not describe its power!
This is not one of those shows…
This is a show about a brilliant crime-fighting foot surgeon who is only 4-years-old…No. This is a show about a guy, ANDY (Andy Richter), who is constantly thinking about possibilities. Could life be better this way or that, should I take the path less traveled, did I forget to feed the fish?
Set in a Scandinavian fishing village in 1623…No. Set in present day Chicago, Andy is a struggling writer who makes his living writing technical manuals for a giant and totally indifferent company. As Andy narrates the stories of his life, he not only tells us what happened, but also shows us what could have happened, what should have happened, and sometimes even what he's thankful didn't happen!
Andy begrudgingly shares his office with an ancient Samurai Warrior and a Bolshevik revolutionary…No. Actually he shares it with the company's new illustrator BYRON (Jonathan Slavin). Also inhabiting Andy's world are his friends and co-workers KEITH (James Patrick Stuart), a good looking ladies man who seems to have everything come easily to him; supervisor JESSICA (Paget Brewster), whom Andy has known for years and even tried dating once; and receptionist WENDY (Irene Molloy) whom Andy has a crush on, but who is dating Keith.
The series, created and executive produced by Victor Fresco ("The Trouble with Normal," "Mad About You," "Dinosaurs"), is produced by Paramount Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television.
