GSX Topspeed

If u have an Eclipse GST or GSX, what are their topspeeds??
I got my GSX to go up to 137 mph, ( my turbo turned to an orange/red color when i checked out the hood??) I want to kno wut happens to turbo when that happens??

stock 2G GSX is about 145 and stock GS-t is 137 i think, because it is limited. its fine when you turbo glows but never turn off the car while it is glowing, let it idle for a couple minutes to cool down.

the GS-T has to be faster because i hit 130 in my GS, and it's stock. Unless the governer is the same on both.

If the govener is taken off, a GS-t could do 150+. But thanks to H rated tires 130 is all you get. Its easy to take off though, just cut one thing off your ecu.

okay, nex week im gonna "try" to get to 150s, 160s, if its possible, i also jus got my 18g turbo, i'm gonna see what happens!

Last summer I was in the car with my buddy and he hit 150 in his 97 eclipse gs bone stock I couldnt belive it .

150 seems like too much for a gs, but i was able to hit 130 and still accelerate, so IF he were going long enough with the pedal down the whole time, i believe it would get to 150...

GS thats goin 120+++, thats kinda strange, bcuz a GS only has 120 HP or sumthin?? I jus got puttin in my 18g turbo in my GSX, and now im hittin 200s, HAHAHAHA, jus kiddin, im hittin like 160+ though, what about ur guys GSXs

i'm still skeptical on the top speed of 150 in a gs.

140 or so hp? stock right... the factory tires wouldn't hold up to that speed...

and like you said... you would need a longer road... it would take me a guess timated 2-3 miles to find my rev limiter in 5th gear... or longer... it won't happen.

i'm sure i could go faster than what i've done, but you need a long empty stretch of highway and the speed gods on your side...

Thats bullshit Stock Eclipe Whether its GST OR GSX in 91 to 94 top speed is 148 WILL NOT GO ANY FASTER i have both and they both wont go any faster GEARS WILL NOT ALLOW IT! and if your turbo glows red And you turn off your motor. you dont belong near a idoits just buy a turbo timer they work wonders!

And accually a GS has 140hp and they can do 120mph but it takes a century to get there!

Now if you have STCO Gears you are good for 170+ in a stock GST

My GS is 140 hp, with W-Rated 205/55/16 Yokahoma Tires, rated up over 160+ mph. So my tires have more than enough to handle it.

The GS goes faster than 120 for sure, because i did it, whether you believe me or not, i did 130 and was still able to move faster...

I don't believe my car will get to 150 because of the condition it's in, but i do believe that a gs in good condition WILL reach 150 with an ungodly amount of straight uncrowded highway... or an autobond...

The only way a stock GS could hit 150 is down a hill with a strong tailwind.
