newbie M3 question - sunroofs

Am searching for a 95 M3 to purchase. Did BMW send any non-sunroof models to the US that year? All the ones that I've seen for sale on various sites have a sunroof. I'd also like to know if a 3.0 or 3.2 will easily swap into a 318 body. Would I need to upgrade the gearbox, firewall or mounting points. How difficult would this be to do monitarily speeking aside from the cost of the motor? Just researching all options for my next project.
