There is nothing wrong with the car. If you are looking for an economy car, then its fine. Obviously its not a sports car. I know a couple of people that have Metro's and have been happy with them.

This is true but let me say this...I had a 93 lasted to 160k with only oil changes, 3 trans services, 3 fuel filters and 5 sets of tires. I t did finally burn a valve but you gotta admit it was pretty good to me. And yes it was just a beater not my cruiser.

I hear a person can put alot of miles on them and they are one of the best gas saving cars around.

Exactly my point. If you are looking for simple transportation, for relitivly no money, then a Metro might be a good choice.

Re: The Metro is a very unique car...

they're the perfect economy cars. They're pretty reliable, but you're not gonna be beating anything on the road with a geo metro, stock. It's ok, you get almost twice as much gas mileage as almost every other car on the road.

Re: The Metro is a very unique car...

i paid $1300 for my 94 metro about 6 months ago. it has saved me at least $1000 in gas since then, and will save me another $1000 in the next 6 months.

I find it amazing the mean and nasty things some jealous and uninformed people will say about such a great little car! My little vert might not be much to look at but it has been reliable and it sure dosen't suck when I pass them at the gas station that there stopped at. As I smile and wave!! Maybe I'll stop and talk next week or two when. I'm down to half a tank or so!!
