ground clearance problems with a Z06?

I would like to get a Z06 but the roads in my town are bad. Have any of you ever had problems with ground clearance?

Also, what is the Z06's ground clearance compared to exotic cars such as Porsches, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis. Can the Z06 drive in places that these cars can not?

Those cars are so low to the ground. They will scrape the road coming out of our driveway. Never any problems on the roads though.

I don't understand all these different Trim Heights... these are choices you can make when purchasing the vehicle or modifications you can make afterwards?

Those are suspension and handling package choices when purchasing the vette. The FE1 is soft ride, the FE2 is ride and handling, the FE3 is sport suspenison.

The vettes are low to the ground.
The ones I have drove you just have to take the usual precautions like not taking a dip straight on.

Hope this helps

Lamborghinis and Ferraris are more high end cars compared to the vette. The Corvette Is a powerful sports car that costs around $50,000 the Ferraris and Lamborghinis on the other hand cost $200,000-$500,000. THe Corvette would get beat by them both but depends on which model from Ferrari car it is too.

Thats off topic though, which has more ground clearance? I think the Vette does but could be wrong

i dont have specs or anything

but im pretty sure the z06 has more ground clearence because ive seen a ferrari up close and if u get even close to a dip its gonna scrape...and from the articles i have read (there was one in EVO) they complain about a 550 being too low and taking a corner too fast makes the under side scrape...so i would say the z06 is higher up

A university friend of mine said that he saw a McLaren F1 stuck on a speed bump once... the guy took forever before trying to move it (no wonder). You wouldn't think they cars are that low though.

.

As far as ground clearance I think those new Lamborghini's come with an air ride suspension or something of the sort. I'm pretty sure they have buttons that allow you to raise the car up so don't scrape your 200k vehicle on curbs.

I don't think you will have any problems at stock height as long as the driveway approach angle isn't too high. I would try to avoid speed bumps, but it won't get beached. Neither of my vettes have ever given me any problems except for when I tried to use those drive-up ramps for low clearance vehicles...they don't work!!!

question.

What does this have to do with the question?

Scott 02 I suggest you try to treat people around here with a little more respect otherwise you are going to find yourself just talking to yourself.

This thread has outlived its usefulness.
