Burning oil after switching to synthetic oil

Now that my d16a6 is broken in, i switched to mobil 1 synthetic oil, now I noticed that the exhaust smokes blue a little when i turn on my car after sitting a while. Is this normal? Burning oil after switching from regular oil to synthetic?

it could be still burning off from the inside, cars dont burn oil, they leak it, so give it a few miles and see if you are still losing oil, cuz it may just be old oil that got past your rings coming out.

This also happened to my car after I bought it and changed to synthetic oil. My smoking went away in about a 1000 miles after i changed the oil. So would not worry about it.

dont even get me started on burning oil i just finished pulling my head off today cuz my car burns oil hella bad, gotta replace the valve seals. but i dont think thats the problem with ur engine cuz its a fresh rebuild isnt it? i think as long as u dont see big puffs of smoke coming out of ur exhaust when u shift, or really nail it then u should u fine. u might just have old oil thats burning off. when u sit in the driveway or w/e and rev it a couple times u dont see oil spray behind ur car on the ground do u? if u do then yea oils being burned and going out ur exhaust. and do u smell oil burning when u start the car and drive it?

what are you talking about......... .......oil "leaks" past the rings or valves then "BURNS" in the combustion chamber which in turn creates blue smoke..........ever burnt oil in a fire or a tire for that matter........creates a black or bluish smoke.......but I know what ya meant

The motor feels badass, its kicks in really hard 4K+, i just need to do some tuning to my fuel pressure and timing to get it right. I might bring it to the track in a few weeks, and i will give you some times.
