A new E30?

i am not sure if this is a fake, because i can't seem to find it when i search the site, but i am not sure why someone would fake this. If this actually happens, i will be one of the first ones to buy it. man i love the e30. The ip rather than www.cnn.com also kinda throws me off and makes me wonder. what do you all think?

Well there is the up coming 1 and 2 series with an M2.

From what's been said it will be smaller than the 3, have a hi-reving 4 cylinder and a less complicated suspension. Sounds like an E30 to me

that sounds really cool. when are they comming out with it? on a side note, i saw a picture of a Z5 concept about a year ago and was wondering if you knew anything about it or know where some pictures are, because it looked really cool. i think they were talking of putting the 240 3.0l in it.

2004 model. BMW has kept the test cars well hidden a bunch of speculation on the real look, but I would suspect something like the CS1 concept but the hardtop is a hatch:

It is expected that the entry-level engine will be an 80kW (107bhp) 1.6-litre unit. The engine range will probably also include a 1.8-litre version and the top of the range 1-series will feature a high-performance 2-litre power train with an output of 180kW (240bhp<---this sounds optimistic).

Spy shots:

I remember hearing about the Z5 awhile ago, but nothing since. Probably a dead concept.

I guess it's not dead, found this:

Z5 is to be a very light weight car with a 2.0L 240bhp 4 cylinder......(maybe the Z5 will actually be a roadster version of the 1 series.)

"This is not a "big cubes" car, with only 2.2 litres capacity, but it produces 180 kW and will be almost as quick as the giant-killing M3, with 0-100 km/h in under 5.6 seconds and top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.

This will make it extremely lithe and maneuverable, while an advanced version of the M3's SMG sequential gearbox will make it ultra-exciting to drive fast, cool as a cucumber in traffic.

Ultra-competitive pricing"

For the Z5 all I found was these 3 pictures. I'm not sure what's going on or if they are completely legit.

Time will tell.
