That is the GP I'll NOT forget - first Schumacher win for Ferrari in Italy! I was watching it on Eurosport (ahh, good old days), and when MS touched the tyres just a tad the commentator, VERY articulately said: Michael Schumacher, w h a t a r e y o u d o i n g ?!!!

Not to me buddy. As I mentiond before, F1 should stay pinnacle of the sport/industry. The car makers also see it like that. It's their showcase and therefor their show, not FIA's. It's about time that Max Mosley starts to draw his conclusions and step aside and leave the top FIA job to someone who has a broader view of things

Anyway, If it continues like that, I hope that the car makers go ahead with GPWC and start a new series in 2008. They have already one fan! Afterall I'm a fan of a car brand, regardless the series they are running in - be it F-1, CART, DTM, LeMans ... I immediately add to that, that I prefer it to be in F-1, but if impossible, then somewhere else

I agree with you about the pinnacle, but Bernie's ego and eccentricity won't allow him to see past his wallet. I understand that F1 is his sand box and he can make the rules as to which and how teams are to play in it, but man, he needs a reality check bad! Futhermore, CART says they'll be racing at Spa after 2003 and almost had a deal worked out for 2003, this makes FIA look even worse in my opinion.

What Mosley has done is lump together some pretty startling and un-necessary changes together with some changes that are very welcome which give the cars back to the drivers and let us have some purist racing. He’s snatched the radio-controlled F1 machinery away from the engineers.

But if F1 wants to stay as the pinnacle of world racing, them Max needs to take a step back and re-consider more of his extreme ideas about shaping F1 beyond 2004.

Now there are rumours that McLaren could boycott the Melbourne GP and Renault boss just stated that some rules (1 engine for 6 races) is unacceptable to the extent that they will pull out of F1 if the reules are implemented.

Does anybody remember the group of Formula One Constructors who lastly said that they wanted a championship not controlled by the FIA?
They wanted clarity about rules otherwise they would make their own championship....

Maybe this could mean the break-up of formula one as we know it
