I need to know some pros and cons about 95-99 Eclipses. I heard alot about the engine blowin' at like 120,000 miles or something, but i also heard that once it dies, it DIES! so it wouldn't be able to be refixable or something like that. I'm thinking about getting one, but is it worth it, will it last me for like another 50,000 miles?

Anything that breaks can be fix. And how if you take good care of your car it will last for 150k easily. I assume your looking at one with high miles but if its in good shape you shouldnt have to worry about it. Run compression tests and look for leaky fluids ect....

I have a 95 talon Tsi (same as the eclipse), and I love it. The one real problem I think people have with these vehicles are the timing belts going out at about every 70,000 miles. Routine maintance and the car should be no problem as long as you do research before you do any modifications. And like he said a pressure test is a great idea!

as for the pros... the turbo version is very quick 205 or 210 base hp depending on whether it is auto or manual, pretty good gas mileage about 30 highway, and if you want a car that you can modify pretty easily, and heavily this would be a great fit. there are even a few free modifications to give you a few more HP.

GST or GSX ???
i think you should get a GST Spyder, bcuz, if u aint, u should get the GSX. I think if u want both sleeper and for fun ride, get the GST spyder, you can get easy HP and sound for the GST.
