I saw this over on G20.net and thought everyone might be interested. Not sure whether to put this in Stress Release or Philosophizing because it will probably turn into that type of thread.

EvilYak, (Alexander Hsieh) joined AF back around August 2002. He hasn't been active lately as he's been over on G20.net forums. Thankfully he's fine but his good friend was declared brain-dead after being shot in the head in an apparent act of road rage.

It says in one of those stories after a long police chase they caught the 3 occupants of the vehicle, 2 are being charged with 1st degree murder, they can't seek the death penalty because no premeditation. The max they can get is 75 years to life, the shooters ranged in age from 20-22.

Also Ray was a donor, his heart was donated to a 13-yr old girl who'd been waiting for a transplant. That's the only good to come of this.

Another senseless tradgedy
We hear this all to often in phoenix too, just last month a teenager was shot over a can of soda being dropped out of a window at a stoplight(some of the soda splashed on the car stopped next to the victim) the people in the car opened fire and killed one and injured one.

just last week there was a shooting here cuz some guy in a Escalade got passed by a friend of mine in his mr2 spyder on the highway (it was snowing) and some sand and salt from the road god in his car and he pulled up next to him farther up the highway and opened fire and shot out a tire and hit joe's arm. The mr2 went off the road and flipped..he wasnt killed but he could have been

and for senseless shit like soda or snow or just plain being safe...

I get pissed if someone flicks a cigarette butt out the window and it hits my car or something like that, but the most I'll do is honk...you have to be seriously perma-pissed at everything to start shooting because of it

I'm all for the death penalty being removed if they were forced to live the rest of their live in pain and misery, but that wont happen. So until then, its the death chamber.

i think a good treatment was solitary confinement until death...and a gaurd should come in like twice a day and shoot them in the foot and then throw a band - aid in and say "there make it stop bleeding"

but solitary confinement is the ultimate killer

All I can say is, wow, that is horrible. Of all the things that could happen, that is probably the worst. Especially since the chance of a hit is so low, it just isnt fair.
