Porsche 917 Laser??

Heard of this car that Porsche once made. About a few years ago, a local car dealership had a Porsche 917 Laser or Lazer how ever it was for sale. Of corse it wasn't the real deal, it was a kit car. I will say that it look bad as hell when i saw it. When i went to look at it I found out it was a kit car and had a V-6 in it. Just wondering when these cars were Built and Were i could find some real pics of one.
