Ok, I need actual help this time, not just an opinion so plz love me!!!!

OK, here's the deal, my new car (white 90 crx si) has three small dings in the windshield, one is kinda big, the others are small, but near the middle bottom of the windshield. I was wondering if anyone knows anyway to cover these or something so that they'll pass inspection. I've tried fix-a-dent, that didnt work, but if anyone has any more suggestions plz lemme asap as the car gets inspected tomorrow. Thanx all

my best suggestion is to put some "temporary" stickers on top of the dings, that way they wont see the cracks...

Ahh... the joys of emissions...

I will probably have a heart attack the day they decide to start emissions tests here... So many people just ruin the air with their high-flow cats, testpipes, intakes, and all those other common mods..

I got an idea.. how about you get a really big suitcase (one that will fit in a crx). Fill it with the necessities.. And move to Kentucky.. or some place close.. So you don't have to rice out your car for emissions.. Or better yet, so you don't have to remove the mods just for emissions purposes... Sound like a plan?

Actually.. Im kidding.. But that does have to suck very badly... Sorry I can't relate..

Did I miss something...I thought this thread was about a windshield...

Anyway..i've heard of people filling "dings" in the windshield with epoxy..I think there is actually a kit to do it with. Anyway they usually wont say anything about a small discolored spot on your windshied. Just fill it in and smooth it out real good.

they sell kits to fix chips like that, its prolly just epoxy but check the auto parts stores. And as for i/h/e and hi-flow cats, the only one that would pollute the air is "hi-flow" cats that are really resonators. the rest do not aid in putting crap in the air. Most states don't have emissions testing because majority of cars on the road are new and run more efficiant than required.

Dude you so could not be anymore wrong with the dont have smog tests because newer cars. Look at oklahoma in some areas you will never see a new car cause they cant afford it and they DONT have smog tests. They base the smog test on how many people live in a area nothing to do with new cars or old cars. HIGH FLOW cats just allow less back pressure I have one on my car and it cpasses better than my NEW stock cat. So your information is wrong. ANY way you can get the windsheild fix at autozone for 3.99 plus tax it is over buy the glues and silicon

do they really care about chips?? When I got my car inspectedI had a huge crack all the way across the windshield and they didn't say anything! I guess they must be really strict in the states.

Dont worry about it. Take it and get it inspected. If they say anything about it, then worry.
