Lots O' Problems

1995 Bronco Full Size, Eddie Bauer Edition. Cruise Control doesn't activate, roof console lights no longer work, 4WD no longer engages.

I've checked all the fuses and they are all fine. Are there any glaring problems on the 95 4WD system that would keep it from engaging? And also with the other problems, is there anything in particular I should look for?

switch

im thinking about getting a 92 bronco, and ive seen that lots of them need new 4x4 switches installed after theyve been used a lot or too little. electronic 4wheel drive switches were new back then so they hadnt perfected it yet. i dont know about the lights and other stuff but ill look around.

I have an 86 bronco with a 302 efi. I have not had any problems like yours, but I did have the cruis control problem in my 94 explorer. It turned out to be a disconnected vacuum hose.

DO you mean the "Map Lights" on the top of the cab, on both sides of the Dome Light? Mine quit sometime ago after I forgot which way was "On" and which way was "Off". That whole assemble comes off as apiece, so you might have a problem in the switch, bulb, or connectors. (Once you take it out, you realize that the power is grounded by the connection of the thing to the roof.)

Cruise Control is controlled by a little magnet somewhere in the tranny. (Which tells the CC module how fast you're going.) I suspect that once these go bad, you just replace the magnet, and the pickup. (They make CC units everyday.)

You're 4WD problems could most likely be traced to the Transfer Case Motor. (I think we hear of at least two of these problems a month, "Search" this forum for "Transfer Case Motor" and you'll find a lot of information about them, and the problems they can cause.)
