Kumho 712s are good tires and aren't too expensive.

I have toyo proxes R24's, they were replaced by the t1-s but they're very nice, so far I've only got a couple thosand on them but they're wearing perfectly. When I replace them I'll probably go with kuhmo's because of the price of the toyo's but if you really want drag grip then you may want to consider nitto's or something.

I say go for some nitto's or falkens

kuhmos are tight too, lots of my friends roll on those and are very satisfied with em.

I'm rolling on my 4th set of Nitto NT450's, and I have to say that they're the way to go. They are inexpensive for 15 or 16 inch, and they grip and ride well. I have about 12K on my current set, and they are wearing perfectly. I think they are a little bit more pricey than the Kumho's, but I have to say that they have been worth it!
