Madmax, check out www.vanillaice.com, there you will see the MEVI info that I found. I checked on the org and I only did a search but I didn't start a thread on it to find out if anyone knew.

Don't worry this site has nothing to do with that wack rapper Vanilla Ice

Try this link:

http://www.vanillaice.com/webmasters/hype/mrc/mevi.htm

This is what's on the top of the page, I hope it works, if not let me know, I 'll try to pull down some pics and info and attach it to the next reply.

Also IMO the first pic of the MEVI on IAN's car looks fugly, the cover looks as though it's just sitting there, kinda makes it look stupid and that the hood would not close with that stupid thing sitting there.

No problemo, I don't mind helping anyone and you always ask constructive questions on your threads. So you headed to Guam, huh?

I already have a cousin (CSM Johnson, USMC) stationed there and a friend (GySGT Smith, USMC) also;but I do appreciate the offer.
BTW are you in the military or something? Also, did you see the pictures of the MEVI? Didn't it look kinda fugly?

To 97 & Caracicatriz, not being sarcastic or a wise ass but did you guys check out the link I posted in the reply to Paonessa? Only reason I'm asking is because that link has all the info on the MEVI and I'm not well enough versed to spell it all out for you.

Anywayz, check out the link and see if you can benefit anything from learning more about this MEVI so that you can enlighten us (lazy folks>like me) who don't want to read.
Peace

Just from my understanding what it does is it gives the 4th gen the top end performance of the 5th gen (that's is on the tac) this allows the 4th gen to continue pulling pass their normal redline.

If you've ever driven a 5th gen you'll know what I'm talking about when I mention the pull on the top end of the tac, the VQ30 just rips in 3rd all the way to the redline and it still wants to pull until the pesky lil rev limiter kicks in.

Just my 02
I could be wrong though, I'll do some research and post some additional info to this question.
