Just amaze me...

I was at Autozone last night. I only barely noticed the middle aged lady in front of me buying a bottle of brake fluid. I paid no attention to it as it had no bearing on me and my oil. After buying some oil and a filter I left the store but stopped to talk to a friend who had just arrived. I paused in my conversation and looked up to try and locate the source of the sound of a nice exhaust note. I failed but that is beside the point. I look over and see above mentioned lady walking briskly to her car... Shaking Up Her Can of Brake Fluid like it was a friggin jar of chocolate milk! :hehehe:

Some people shouldn't be allowed to own moter vehicles.

I know what you mean. I once had a lady come into the gas station I work at to buy some fuel injector cleaner, and then she got a paper funnel. I wondered what she needed that for and went on working. I then looked out as someone needed gas, and I see that she is taking off her engine oil cap and then proceeding to open the fuel injector cleaner. I am thinking that there is no way in hell she is dumb enough to put it in the engine, then I see her getting ready to pour and hurry and yell over the intercom STOP FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!

I go out there and told her that she needs to put that in the gas tank, I told her that if she had put that in the engine it would leak like a sive. I then asked her if she hadd ever put injector cleaner in the car before, and she said that her husband takes care of it. I then told her that I suggest that he continues to do so.

I once sold a quart of oil to a person, and few minuites later they came back asked if we had a funnel he could borrow, I loaned him one, about five minuits later came back again bought another quart of oil and asked if we had a smaller funnel, told him no, but out of curiousity I asked if he needed some help went to his car with him and he had the hood open the engine oil dipstick out and oil everywhere, apparently he had been trying to pour the oil down the dipstick tube. I politey showed him on the valve cover where the engine oil fill hole was and walked off before I bursted into laughter. He never came back in either, and he took off with our funnel. Oh well it was worth the laugh.:flash:

Great thread, guys. Keep the stories coming. I don't work at an auto parts store, but I used to work at a hand carwash. Some guy came in and asked if we could buff out small scratches. I told him we could. Walked around to the other side of his mini van to find someone had had a go with a rake! The thing needed a full metal respray and I pissed myself.

My story isn't half as grand as all of yours, but I was once hanging out with my friend at work (a small gas station). This lady comes in and buys a quart of oil. She said her oil light was on, and so she'd put in a quart of oil until she could get it serviced. I then went out, poured in the quart little by little (it only took about 1/2 the quart) and she payed me $5 for being a girl and knowing about cars. I got to eat dinner that night.

I work in a detail shop a little ways away from my house, and one day in front of the bay I saw a guy stop and pop his hood. None of the bosses where I work were around and it was just me and some of the guys I work with. Anyways, I see him take out of his truck an orange handled screwdriver. He goes under the hood with it looking like he's trying to fix something, then comes back up without it. After this he proceeds to start his vehicle and it runs fine, so he gets out and closes his hood. Before we could get out the door to yell at him, he takes off around the corner and all of a sudden we hear CLANK CLANK BANG!. In forgetting to remove the screwdriver from near one of his engine belts, it caught one, broke his radiator fan, poked a hole in his radiator, leaving the metal end of the screwdriver in the radiator, and broke the handle off(duh). Luckily the detail shop I work for is connected to an auto service shop. Needless to say he was in the shop as fast as he could get into it.

Well, nothing really good for me (I work at Zellers, a ghetto store like Wal Mart).
But my friends brother Derek is in construction, and he saw some guy on the side of the road with his hood up. So, he pulled over to help the guy. The guy is an idiot, says its overheating. He then proceeds to try and remove to the rad cap. Derek yells at him to stop, so the guy looks around at him just as the cap comes off, so it was angled at Derek. He got splashed with superheated coolant, while the dumbass got nothing. He was taken to the hospital, who called his mom and told him he had been in an accident. Derek had only 2nd degree burns, nothing *too* serious, but his mom was freaking out, because all she knew was that he was in an accident at work (on a major highway, with heavy machinery), and he was in the hospital.

Wow, that really sucks, Im willing to bet that if your friend hadn't been in such excrutiating pain, he would have kicked the crap out of that guy. That's why idiots shouldn't be given motor vehicles.

Fairly early one winter evening,Iwas driving home in the dark,and I turned a corner to see sparks coming out from under a car in front of me.I was speeding anyway,but closed up to get a better look.The rear tyre was hanging in shreds on the inside of the rim,and the outer lip of the rim was grinding on the road at about 120 km/h!
Aftere about 400 metre of flashing my lights and honking the horn,the car stopped and a little old lady got out.She started shouting at me,wanting to know why I didn't just pass if I was in that much of a hurry............I put the spare on for her all the same.As I was loading the shredded remains of the rim and tyre into her car,she asked me if Ithought the tyre could be fixed,she didn't want her husband to know..........
