Ahh no dude!!!

Are they S27 decals or the Humbrol/Airfix ones? If its the later i could perhaps help you out with a replacement.

Very bad news Seb, that is terrible. Did you start off with light mist coats? That is a must when using TS-13 but I guess you have learnt that now I've used Tamiya clear over Renaissance decals before with no problems - although some Carpenta ones gave me a scare recently.

If you want to try and salvage things, I have some Sanremo 2001 Renaissance decals you are welcome to. Email me your address and I'll sent them off.

Hi phil,

yes i spray a first light coat of ts13 before like i have done for the pug...but perhaps, i have not wait enought time between the first coat and the second one.
But now, the effects is less bad as it was...the bubble decrease...and it s quite acceptable (i will try to take photo to show you the effect)... i think i will not redo the body another time.
But many many thanks for the offer.

Hey PMan, you mean, you don't clear coat the ASTRA DTM ?

You think you can save it? If so that is good news!

Modelling is an exercise in damage control

Hey Seb,

Just found this post.

TS-13 has a history of destroying decals. They have to be completley dry and have no air bubbles underneath. Using a decal solvent like microsol and microset can get rid of the air bubbles. Just make sure when decals are dry you wipe off with water on cloth.

I use Mr Super Clear from Gunze Sangyo. Does not attach decals and has a better shine than Tamiya. You can also try auto two pak clear that a few people use. Too much hard work just for a model though.

Hope this helps in the future.
