Opinions..
I want somethin with power, so I was thinkin tha JET chip for my 98 lude, but I also want an exhaust like the N-1 or EVO. What would you all rather have? I'm havin such a hard time deciding and I need someone to make a smart statement so I can figure this out....

A chip wonīt do anything on a stock engine. Youīll need to do a lot of other mods if you want to see a gain out of it.
I canīt really help you with the exhaust because most US and japanese brands arenīt available over here in germany. But I know that a lot of people like the Thermal R&D systems for the 5th gens. Hope it helped a bit! |

get some of the basics before u add a chip. rite now, u don't have any extra air/fuel going through ur motor, so u really don't have any need to upgrade ur ecu. u'll jus end up running rich an seeing a great puff of black smoke between hard shifts. i mean its pretty cliche to start w/ an i/h/e set-up, but its a proven way to start. an u gotta start somewhere don't u?

I think itīs not even possible to chip the OBD2 ECU of a 5th gen Prelude. Youīd need to do an OBD1 ECU swap first and thatīs really not worth it for you in the moment. Get all the basic stuff first and then maybe an Apexi VAFC or anything like that.
