Corolla S 2003
I have a 2002 Celica GT but insurance is high because I'm 18, male and totaled a Civic. I love the power of my car, but i might have to trade it in.
I have heard the 2003 Corolla shares its engine with the Celica GT. If this is true could the 130 hp be boosted to the 140 of the GT easily? Would Celica exhaust systems bolt on realitively easily? Does anyone have experiance with this car? I test drove one when i was looking at my Celica but didnt know it was related. Anyways any help would be great. Also heard about a supercharger possibly for the Corolla? Anyone know about this?

2003 Corolla
Hey whats up. I just bought a stripped 2003 Corolla CE. It has the 1.8L VVT-i DOHC 130HP engine. You wont be able to find many parts for it yet because it is so new. Even though the Celica GT has the same engine, it does not have the same frame so some parts might not fit sich as exaust, intake, etc. If you want speed, go with the 5-spd manual. I got it and it rocks. It goes faster than the auto's because it has one more gear. I got mine to 110 no prob and it was only at 4500rpm. I am going to redline in every gear sooner or later to see how fast it goes.

I kept the Celica. But I'm still curious about the Corolla. I'd like to see someone swap a GTS engine into one. 180 HP Corolla? Now thats a sleeper, I'd love to see the look on some punk with a Civic and a swapped GSR engine get beaten by a new Corolla lol. Or even strap the new Blitz supercharger on that beast. You'd have somewhere near 250 hp in one of the new Corollas. I'm sure you could make a killing street racing people.
