I can't honestly understand why a woman would want to have her chest carved open and a couple of weights shoved under her skin.They don't look real [couldn't tell you if they feel right] and I don't like the idea of the whole "body shape is everything" mentality.

Ok, granted they don't look/feel the same. However I can't say I have ever complained about them... Ok, there is a point when too much is too much, and we all know this (I hope). But as far as tastefull breast augmentation, I don't have a problem with it.

I know of some folk who have found breast reduction operation to be a very worthwhile piece of elective surgery.

I know of someone who has had breast augmentation and suffered some particular nasty complications (I'm not going into details but :apuke: is a good descriptive pic).

There have been a number of complications and problems with augmentation resulting in a lot of unhappy folk and some premature holes in the ground.

The reality is yes a spice rack looks good. Unfortunately, some of the spice racks look unnaturally good sometimes (particularly on a few folk I have met - mutton dressed as lamb) and a few times the spice rack is so big that it tends to dominate the rest of the kitchen.

I think it all depends on proportion.. For example Anna Nicole Smith, I think everyone here can agree her boobs are nasty. I have a friend whose mom has implants. You'd never know. She was a D before she had kids, but when she lost her childbearing weight they disappeared. She got implants to boost the size back up to where it was originally.

A lot of implanted chests don't seem to 'hang' quite right, whereas others could easily be confused for the real thing. (The "flashlight test" clears up the confusion, though.) What I've gathered from watching plastic surgery shows is that if you have some fat already there that the implant is mounted under, it will appear much more real than if you got an implant stuck under fat-less skin. Also the implants placed above the muscle tend to look more natural than those underneath - but that's just my opinion.

I could also understand the motivation to get reduction surgery. I'm not horribly big (34D) but I still have backaches and problems finding shirts, especially button-down ones, that fit. Finding bras is also a hassle as most manufacturers don't make a D cup unless you move up to a 36 band. Sometimes I wish I wasn't packing them around, sometimes I like them.
