help, it won't start!!!!

I'm going to pick my car up i a min, got a ride and a trailer. but don't want to take car all the way to place i bought it 100 miles away. Problem is . today i was on my way to do a job in dallas an my car just putt-putted and died, i had to pull over!!! it is getting good fire ,& gas, and turning over strong but Not running. anybody know a quick fix or have any idea what could be wrong. any help would be awesome!!!!!!! could be a lot of different things... first check the timing... and then run a compression and leak down test... thats where i'd start...
