200sx se compaired to a 91 G20...and good 200sx parts????

so I just recently totalled my 91 Infinit G20...it had an SR20de and an intake and it was decently quick...im about to buy a 96 200SX SE...cant afford an SE-R...well I know the se's are only 115 hp compaired to my 140 that the G20 put out, but the G was incrediblly heavy, some like 3 tons...just wondering if (with the right parts, intake, header, catback, etc.) could the 200 perhaps be as quick? Its a 5 speed and much lighter...im new and I'll be posting here alot now. Can anyone tell me any good 200sx sites to go to for anything??

thank you all

bye

Sorry to hear about your G...5th total in the last 3 months amongst us G20 folk.

I have a limited amount of knowledge about the 200sx, other than it uses the GA16DE found in the Sentra, weighs from 2400 - 2600 lbs depending on trim level/equipment

Ultimately, a G20 has .046666667 hp/lb, whereas the 200sx SE has .046 hp/lb. Not a big difference. Essentially, each G20 hp is lugging 21.4 lbs, vs each 200SX hp is lugging 21.73 lbs.

In other words, if you add a mere 2 hp to the 200SX, bringing it up to a whopping 117, its hp/lb ratio will BEAT the G20 at .0468. I don't know what kind of aftermarket support is available for the GA16DE, but you may want to check at:
