I have been racing R/C cars since '94, and always try to paint my cars as a replica of a racing car. In most cases, I got it, some others don't.
Now, thanks to reading all your posts, guys, I just bought my first model: A Porsche 911 GT1. It's a Revell kit, 3 skill. I think is good enough for start, and get the feeling (I see myself in the future getting a paint brush and all the stuff). That is the car that ran the Le Mans 24Hours in 97. Well, this kit does not requires paint, and have very good details (hey, I'm a newbie, i think the details are good). Soooooooo, wish me luck!!!!!!!!!! PS. I took the Windshield to a secured place.

Thanks guys.
First question. What kind of glue should I use. I have an all purpose glue (brand: UHU) do you guys know it? can I use this or should I use something like crazy glue?

I usually use just "Testors" plastic model glue for most things (get it cheap at your local hobby shop), but then you can use "Krystal Klear" glue for headlights and windows and stuff.

Oh, yeah: TUBE GLUE IS CRAP!!!
Sorry, but I think that's very poignant. Try to find the Testors glue that's in a plasic box with a nozzle. That's a little better...

Here's my 2cents worth ...take it back and get the Tamiya kit. The kit is 10 times better in finish and you wont be getting pissed off like people do with Revell kits. They take a lot more work then a Tamiya kit. This is the Tamiya kit here i done

I use to use UHU glue, very hard to use, and doensn't give a very good finish.. use some sort of liquid cement.. those work a lot better..

Besides, they did not have tamiyas. It was a toys shop, not a hobby shop. And I really was not suppose to buy this dam thing, I was buying something to my kid, and bang, entered in the model hall, and here I am, building my first. I'm not really much into details now, I just want to get the feeling of it! Just to see what are you guys writing about!
