SW20 - my first model of 2003

One of two commissioned works that I've been working for a few months is finished, and it's my first model of 2003. It's an SW20 UK spec with a sun room option. Paint is Tamiya Spray Metallic Green on gloss black base color, and it was clear coated with Urethane Clear by Seimitsuya.
The roof was heat smashed on a master, which was cut from the kit. The rear bumpers were modified to fit the Euro size license plate. The car was dropped a little, but not too much to maintain the stock appearance. The wheel was painted with Alclad II Aluminum.
Forum's uploader isn't working now, so I link to my own temp folder. These pictures might suddenly disappear after a few months.

Beautiful - your usual standard.

May i ask what you'd ask for a commissioned piece like this?

That looks totally sweet! May I ask for two more pics? A closer shot of the sunroof, and a lower rear shot to see the license plate area.

Thanks!

It's about US$150 + kit price + display case + shipping.
I worked on and off, and it took about 2 months.
I put a lot of work on it, so I think I should raise the price a little bit, when I make another one next time.

Two more pictures.
The license plate was printed with the ALPS MD5000 in dyesub mode on a photo paper, and it was cut and glued on a 0.3mm plastic sheet.

I should take pictures outside, shouldn't I?

Thanks and yes!

Are the engine vents raised or indented? Your mirror finish is playing tricks on my eyes...

I would say so! I quoted someone nearly 4 times that much just to do some custom bodywork as a one off. It sounds alot but taking into account the amount of hours involved then its good value. Perhaps your selling yourself short Hiro that would be about right for an out of box model but not something thats required the extra work like that.

That's a really nice clean job. i especially love the paint with shiny finish you managed to achieve.

i once made the Mk1 MR2 as a birthday present for a friend of mine, but because the kit was of the Japanese verion, a lot of alterations had to be made to the rear. In particular the rear lights had to be scratch built and like you said, modified licence plates for the UK. Also, the kit was of the T-bar, and he had a normal sunroof so a new roof was made too.

Sorry for rambling...top job once again.

It's a stock wheel, included in the kit, but it was painted with Alclad II Aluminum.
