should i get a cap?

I have two 12" audiobahn's which are 1100 watts r.m.s. each. And i have a 2400 watt amp. I don't have anything hooKed up yet. I was wonder if i should up grade the alt. or get a cap. I was looking at a 3 farad cap by audiobahn. I would rather go with the cap but i would like some suggestions of what would best the best.

is the amp a 2400 watts RMS amp or max? tell me how much Watts RMS are you running and i'll help you find an alternator. a cap is useless if you don't have power to start with. don't go with a 3 farad, and especially from audiobahn. u won't know until how much you need until you know how much your amp puts out.

Yes, a two farad cap should be right, just in case, you might want to run a three farad. General rule of thumb is 1000 watts=1 farad.

a cap works for come car/stereo combos and doesn't for others ...... if I were a shop, I would have a 2 or 3 for testing - to see if it helps the customer.

It likes like a super street setup. What are you hitting? What subs?

caps do NOT help SPL because of the nature of the tones you play.

Is your amp the 2300HCT one? I have 2 AW1006Q's and I was wondering if that is WAY too much power? I also have 2 caps and I am wondering what else I would need? I also have a question about what kind of box design would work best with this setup? It is going to be put in a 1999 Integra hatch. Thanks.
