My 95 Grand Am is not charging, the alternator is OK. I suspect the Fusible link(s) in the charging circuit. Does anyone know where they are? Or any other suggestions???
Thanks! |

The fuseible link (a factory one) wire color is usually red about 10 gauge and will have a black cylinder spliced into it about 1" in length. Check from the Battery terminal on the back of the alt and follow it to the positive battery cable on the batt. do an ohms test between those two points.
Also check the battery end terminals for corrosion, with gm side post battery's if you clean these that usually solves about 80 percent of charging problems. |
