I learned how To snowboard!

These past couple of days ive gone snowboarding, and snowboarding ALOT. At first I just SUCKED, and i had no concept as of what to do (I used to ski alot, i figured it would be sort of the same). Anyways, i started to learn how to do S-Turns and how to stop and now im starting to get better. I also had to figure out what foot i am, which turned out to be goofy after debate..now if i could only figure out how to turn with my backside better, i keep thinking im going to fall!

Anyways i just wanted to know if there were any snowboarders out there (besides you dave) who could give me some pointers on my backside turns and stops...LATER

Well...........I'm a snowboarder- however I'm not that good :o I plan on developing my skills on my snowboarding trip up to Switzerland on Thursday - I'd also appreciate some input.

PS- It's good to see you back on the boards blowoff

n00b, its called teh carving.
most important thing is to no think about what you're doing too hard. you'll fall almost every time. when you get in the mindset that you know what you're doing and start to enjoy yourself, you start to improve.

YEA YEA YEA Dave, just remember if i was on skis i would blow you out haha.

but yeah i do concentrate too hard and like think about it too much while im doing it, and my second day in the beginning i was trying too hard, then i just said fuck it and had fun and i got a lot better, i definitly have to say though that snowboarding is way more fun than skiing cause there is more you can do and its just fun to do compared to skiing

later

Well not quite but pretty close a lot of times. I'm pretty rubbery for now.

The first day off on Christmas break I nearly broke my wrist. I've landed on my head more times than I can remember, had some bad run ins with icy runs, and even fell off the charilift once. I'm 'seasoned'

Had my last day skiing WB today - I'm beat. Legs still screaming from teh powder and teh bumps.

Pick of the runs is Saddle on Whistler for blue, Upper Dave Murray for 1xblack and the Coulier(sp?) for 2xblack. Blackcombs best run overall was Horstman Glacier. Although my fav. chair outright is Peak chair on Whistler.

Oh well, hope your chosen method of sliding your ass down a snow covered slope gets better! Teh Oz is spent....

WELL if we'd ever get any gadamn snow, sorry for the cussin but it just royally pisses me off we haven't had any snow, I mean, the 50 and 60 degree weather in January is great, but if I dont get out to board soon I'm gonna lose it. But really I guess like what snowboarder said, dont think of it just do it. hehe thats the nike slogan. but I'll prob fall on my ass next time since last year I never went, no snow, and this year no snow, wtf is wrong!?!?!?!?

btw I'm just really angry bout the snow, can someone please send about 300 million ton to Iowa, specifically the NW!!!!!
