Question Sil80 or Sil15-80?

What would you rather have? an s15 front end conversion on your RPS13 or an s13 front end conversion?

S13. It was actually made for that body style, unlike the S15 front end. Also, being from the same era, it flows with the rest of the body. The S15 conversion looks alright, but you can tell it doesn't belong, whereas the S13 front end looks like it was meant to be there

neither... but if i had to choose then I'd take the S13 front end. the s15 front end is being played out already. There are cavaliers in ss with it, some integras and civics as well.

in some cases (Signal Auto 1580 as well as some other cases i've seen), the S15 front end can look amazing on the RPS13. but i fell in love with S13 Sileighty's the second i saw one for the first time. it just looks "right", and as well the conversions are alot cheaper since the parts just bolt right on and don't require modification (as well, S15 lights are almost 1 grand a pair).

that pic along with a couple of others are on the main page. they're downloadable desktops, so they're SUPPOSED to be used by other people. i don't think Ryan will care.

to be honest with you, the i do'nt think the S13 headlights go with the hatchback. if you look at the basic body shape of the 2 cars, the S13 is very boxy and has hard edges all around, therefore the front end also looks too boxy. but it goes with the original car fine. the RPS13 on the other hand is less boxy and the rear is kinda rounded. so in my opinion, the S15 headlights actually flows with the RPS13 better.

I ppersonally think the S13 front end is bland and sort of ugly- reminds me too much of the cheap Nissan taxi's that the poor taxi companies in NZ who couldn't afford Commodores used. The S15 front end doesn't belong on there either- too out of place- the 180SX is the only way to got- especially with the Type X tailights

holy old thread, bat man!

for the longest time, i was contemplating building a Sileighty myself, and i still am actually, but now i'm starting to like the idea of building either a Kouki 180SX replica or an S13 Coupe more then that....but we'll see what happens.
