A 99 HX you can drop just about anything you want in it. A B16 from the 99/00 Si coupes, B18 from the GSR integra, B18c integra type r motor, the h22 or h23 prelude motor...your choices are many...

the engine may have low miles, but it is pretty low power. I wouldnt count on selling it to a tuner.....and it is tough to find a non-racer that already blew their obd2 motor, so i would say if u r gonna swap...it may be worth more to you in spare parts or a spare motor (in case you blow up your swap) than anyone else would pay you for it. Personally I wouldn't give you more than 200 for the whole thing...imo. Shops are gonna charge you a ton of cash to swap for you, prolly around 1g just for labor...plus cost of the motor. If you live anywhere near wisconsin and are serious to swap...i will do it for 500 in 1 day, (as long as i have all necessary parts to do so)

Hmmm...with a low budget engine, why not buy a second hand SC or turbo kit? Then if/when it blows, you can sell the turbo kit, bin the engine and do your swap!
