custom winter mod

last winter when the car was apart the inner fenders were on the side of the house. someone stole the pass. side (i know, wtf? ). intake sucked in a little water when it rained. no good. i forgot to get some more inner fenders before winter hit. for a quick solution jer got a really good idea. he took the stock airbox and modified it to fit my intake and the reactive air filter (without the heatshield). it works really good. the car actually feels a little more torquey and it looks super sleeper. i'll get some pics later today for you to see. he wasn't completely happy with the cut so whenever we find the spare he'll cut it a little cleaner. but you'll get the idea.

it's something different to custom modify so i thought i'd mention it

yup! complete with the dirt collector thing underneath and the stock black air duct above the radiator. it's all back stock except for the intake and filter

you know you are gonna have to tell me how you did that, cause both of my inner fenders got stolen right off of my car, so I can't drive it in the winter or when it rains. I kind of sucks too, cause I was on a road trip and them all of the sudden god spited me, Down poor

Shit at least someone stole yours. My passenger side one just came off one day. I was turning into work and it popped off and I ran over it. Then when I parked and thought about going and getting it, someone else ran over it and drug it down the road so I said screw it. Still have the stock intake so I really don't have a problem with rain or anything.

that is just a pic to give you an idea. as i said before he wasn't happy with the cut. it's like the proto type. i'll take some better pics from different angles and with the top off after the next one is cut up.

damn my inner fender came off when i was rounding a turn, then i ran over it with my rear tire, and broke it.

Shit, my right inner fender came off wheni was flying down the Grand Central Pkwy (NY people know this road) and i was going about 90 at least with my friends WRX (He was beating me of course), and i hit this dip and my car dipped i hear my car bottoming out and my right fender fly's out i look behind me and i see cars trying to avoid it, i pull over, and my corner light is hanging out!! I was like, shit, it ripped out one of my sockets for the lights, and my cornerlights is broken, and the metal piece on the fenders were touching my tire and i was like SHIT, so i jacked my car up on the Grand Central Pkwy, and flipped the tabs up, and electrical tapped the sockets onto the body of the car, and took out my CAI and put it right at the throttle body.... Great........... that's my story..... i was so fukin pissed.......

My friend put in an AEM CAI on his 94 GSR and when he did it he loossend the inner fender and took off the bumper, we didnt know what the fuck we were doing, so it took like the entire day. Anyhow, he forgot to bolt the shit back up so it tore off.

So one day we schmobbed to Honda-acura parts in Sacramento (which is like 1hr away) and get another one, and THEY GAVE US THE WRONG SHIT!! So we were fuckin pissed, and went back there the next weekend to get the right shit.. damn, luckily a honda-acura junkyard has opened a tad closer to napa now.
