Ok I'm doing the suspention on my crx before I do swap in a b16a and I'd like to know what I should get. I plan on this car being a daily sping/summer/fall driving and it being parked during the winter, while i drive my truck. I also plan on running at the track also. So would coil overs or lowering springs be better? I also plan to put on new shocks at the same time. Also, how much should I drop the car to get the most out of it? Im going for performance not for looks. I was hoping on doing the suspention myself, so is it a fairly easy job? Is there any other parts that I need to do this?
Ok I also have a question out shocks. I want to get the tokcio 5 ways but I really have no clue about suspention stuff. I've always just learned about motors and not getting the power to the ground. On inlinefour.com they sell a set of four for 200. Is this for all 4 corners? I mean are 2 of them shocks and 2 of them struts? Maybe I just need a leason in suspention. Thanks for putting up with my stupidity. |

Okay I guess i'll share what I know about suspension. You should definately go with either a shock/spring or a coilover/spring combination for your CRX. If I were you I'd get adjustable shocks so you can later adjust the stiffness of your ride to your liking. When it comes to springs or coilovers it depends on your ride height and the size of your wheels and what height you're gonna race at at the track. The nice thing about coilovers are you can adjust your ride height whenever you want to, so if you race at a different height you can adjust it. Of course springs are a cheaper way to go, but you can't change the height unless you get a new set. I know a really good set of shocks and coilovers are Koni yellows and Grouns Control Coilovers. If you want to get a suspension package you can check out www.modacar.com. That's all I know, I hoped I helped out!

if you arent going to be driving it during the winter, id say go for springs and adjustable struts. a good and popular spring kit is the eibach prokit, about a 1.5" drop i believe depending on app. you could get coilovers, but to get the best performance you would probably need an alignment everytime you changed height. then of course get the strut and sway bars.

Also remember that lowering springs can outperform coilovers if the coilovers are not set-up properly.

I was thinking about springs, but havent found any i like....they all seem to put the car on the ground...i was only looking for about an inch or inch and a half. Something that will help more in racing and i dont really care about looks...
