Good site indeed.
The 504 is one of the "old" cars (of the 70's) that I still like very much, as the DS, some old BMW, Jag and Porsche.

My brother has a DS... it's funny.
Ididn't go in the UK for long, maybe 97 or something, but I remember the food (sorry) and some old English cars (Jag, Rolls Royce, etc.) and current one but tipically English : TVR, Morgan, Cobra, Caterham, TVR, etc. I love it !

Re: NEW or OLD
My first Peugeot was a 504 that my dad gave to me after he drove off a mountain and wrecked it. I had it rebuilt and drove it for years and years.. lovely lovely cars. I only sold my 504 last year, had to let it go cause I didn't have anywhere to park it.

When I was a kid, my oncle used to have a 504. He bought after a 304. What a change that was. I remember it was bloody quick back then compared to my fathers Renault 12, and it had these very soft comfy seats. My brother and I were always staring at it and talking about it on Sunday afternoons when the family got together.

Re: NEW or OLD
I owned two early 70's 504 peugeot. One I sold and the other was a diesel that was ruined by power being shut off while it was plugged in ... the head cracked. So sad. But what a ride, sO Smoooth. I did 140mph on a road trip. I looked down..and saw I could go faster, but I backed down. 140 was fast enough to make me believer. hehe. Closest thing to a Jag that I drove.

Re: NEW or OLD
The 407 is indeed a very good car. My godfather just bought one, a 407 hdi Griffe with 16/9 GPS, electric seats, black leather, 9 airbags, etc. etc. A nice ride too !
Espacecowboy : why did you buy a Peugeot 505 ? What were your main reasons ?
