I need help! I just got my car back from the shop that dropped my JDM h22a in... I drove it home fine.. now it's turning over but it won't catch. I smell gas and the engine is turning over just isn't catching... mind you I previously had the f22 engine. when I picked up the car they told me that the headers of the f22 are longer than the h22 so there is a gap between my headers and the cat.. would that have any effect for the car not starting?? I need immediate help.. I don't know wut to do and the shop is closed of course.. any input is greatly appreciated! Thnx to all who respond

if your car is turning over and you smell gas, then i would think that the problem lies in the ignition system. make sure you have a strong spark and go from there.
as for the gap in the exhaust system, it wont affect performance too much, just how loud the car is and whether a cop notices and you get a ticket for it. i dont know about where you live, but here in az if you bypass the cat and muffler you can get all kinds of expensive tickets.

had a similar problem with a DX-ZC swap. turns out it was the distributor. i do know that 4th gen ludes are notorious for distributor problems as well. had a recall if I remember correctly.
