Noticed your quest, are you still looking for a program? I have a 04,but dont quite get it. I dont know if my key is even a transponder key. I have instructions but what it tells me is totally different from what I've heard. It seems pretty simple.

Re: keyless entry for Intrepid

if your key is grey, then you have the transponder key. If you're looking to program your keyless entry, your owners manual has instructions as to how to program it, that is assuming you have an already programmed remote. If you don't have a remote already programmed, you'll have to visit your local Dodge/Chrysler dealer and have them program it for you for around $50.

Re: keyless entry for Intrepid

These are the right instructions for the 96 Intrepid remotes:

Remove the middle vent bezel from the instrument panel.
Locate the 2x3 traction control black connector. The connector will either be connected to the switch or the back of the bezel housing. Disconnect the connector.
Turn ignition switch to the ON position.
Ground pin 4 of the traction control connector. This is the programming line for the Remote Keyless Entry Module. The door locks will lock and unlock, to indicate the receiver is ready to receive transmitter code. The trunk solenoid will not cycle at this time.
Press any button on the transmitter to set code. The locks will cycle to confirm programming. If there is a second transmitter it must be set at this time. Press any button on the second transmitter and wait for the locks to cycle.
Disconnect the program line from ground. This returns the system to its normal operation mode.
Attach the traction control switch connector back to its original position:
Traction control switch
Back of the bezel housing.
Replace middle vent bezel, to the instrument panel. If the vehicle has a traction control switch check for functionality once the bezel is in place.
