Question Honda Accord 88 Signal flashes faster than normal, help?

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone out there has any idea about my situation. I got into a minor accident, and after that, things act weird. My left and right signals flash twice the normal rate, and my emergency switch doesn't work until aroun 20 seconds later. What is happening? If you have any idea, please post or email me. Thanks

the rate that the lights flash is determined by a couple things. the easiest to fix is if one of the lights is burned out. if the light in the back is burned out, the one in the front will flash faster. the other, more complicated reason, is if the resistor that is in the circuit is no longer acting ohmic. it could also be the capacitor, both of which require fixing the wiring in your car. if its not just the light bulb being burned out, i say just live with it, since it will most likely end up being more effort to fix it than its worth. as for the hazard light switch, it could be the switch itself is broken, or something deeper in is not working well. again, its probably easier to just live with it, though, than to try and fix it.

One of the bumper signal light is missing ( due to crash), so one side has no bumper light. Can this be the reason?

Haha, that's very true, by the way. I love the fast blinking, but the other problem is that i have an alarm install, for fun, and and now its not working. So i was wondering if its electrical problem or it just the dead bumper signal causing this, as well as the weird emergency light not flashing right away. Other than that, the fast blinkers are awesome!

the missing and blown lights are the exact reason they are blinking faster. all you need to do is replace them, and everything should go back to normal.
