Focus Wagon Owners???

My sis just crashed her GMC Jimmy and we were forced to get her a new car. She got a Focus sedan for a rental and we all really liked it. We went to the Ford dealer and test drove a wagon and she loved it. Little did I know that the wagons are kinda rare in Los Angeles area. I found a real good deal on one in Florida area for a Focus SE Wagon (White w/ tan interrior-Clean title and super clean in & out) Shipping will cost me $750. Now I think I got a good deal, but the only thing that kinda sucks is that it doesn't have the Zetec motor.

I would like the opinion of other wagon owners and see how you like your wagons and if there is a huge dif. w/ zetec & non zetec motors?

I have had a focus wagon since they came out and love it it drives nice and has good power, i have the larger engine and do believe it makes a lot of differance i think it is the only engine that comes in the wagon also.

Other then the normal recalls we have had not problems at all and if you relly look at this little wagon it kinda remindes you of a mini van, i had the widows tinted and added a bug shiel looks really good.

The only thing i dislike is the milage 30-31 highway from a 4 cylinder!!
I had a mercury sable with the larger v-6 that gave the same miliage and most all other 4s i have had i have gotten 35-37 mpg on the highway, but over all its great.

Re: Focus Wagon Owners???

my wife owns a 2002 focus wagon with the base 2.0 spi engine. I have driven it, you won't win any races but it gets good fuel mileage on highway as goos as 42mpg. Average fuel mpg of about 35. She has now had it for two years and it has been a great trouble free car. Great soundsystem and alot of options and safety features for are family. If your not into drag racing the standard engine will do just fine. Good luck.
