Do u guys get bored buying many of the same kits?

Just curious, i notice that a lot of people have many (more than one or two) of the same kits, with minor differences, don't u guys get bored doing them?
For me, i would avoid building two or more of the same kits or variations from the same kit, unless i like the car very much.

Talking Hehehe!

It's just the life of a domestic/import modeler. We need to have the SAS version, Blitz version, HKS version, TRD version, Kansai version, and so on. :licker:

Thumbs up Hmmmm...

Well since I like to build many different subjects, I rarely buy multiples of the same kit unless it's a Skyline; I'm fascinated by what I cannot have therefor I buy models of it. At last count, my collection has grown to about 280 kits; including 11 unbuilt Skylines so when I want something different, I don't have to look far for a new challenge! I love Lowriders, Hot Rods, Musclecars, Full-size Chevrolets, '50s cars, etc. so I buy models of things that I find interesting!

I build alot of Rally cars because they basically using the same kit but different decal. I got 10 Tamiya Evo 6 WRC and 14 Tamiya Impreza WRX WRC '99, going to be all different version. I enjoy building it. I also got 3 360 Modena, try to get 2 more pcs, cause Renaissance going to release the Auto Palace 360 Modena NGT car, so have grab some.

I think most of them in AF here, will ready enjoy building more than 2 pcs of the same model.:hehehe:

If I'm bored to build the same kit, I wouldn't have bought them.
Just for some examples, I have four 350Z kits, and they will be...
- Japanese spec, Version ST with 18 inch Rays and Fujitsubo silencer, open hood, doors, hatch. Metallic Gray
- US Spec Track out of the box. Metallic Blue
- GT300
- Nismo S-Tune (White maybe)
(And now, I'm thinking of doing Veilside Ver.2 and Ver.3, due at Auto Salon 2003)

Three R34 GT-R kits
- Seaside Blue out of the box
- V-Spec II Nur Open Hood, Jade Metallic
- Nismo (white or blue with checkered pattern sticker)
(wish list: Falken Nur 24hrs and

Many FD3S.
Bathurst R Type R (Yellow)
Spirit R (Metallic Gray)
Mazdaspeed A-Spec (Metallic Blue)
Mazdaspeed R-Spec (Dark Metallic Blue )
C-West (Guards Red)
Greddy 9 (Metallic Green)
Super G (White)
Initial D Keisuke (Yellow)
Initial D Kyoko (Black)
Rosso kit, out of the box (Silver)

In stead of making one at a time, I'll probably work on 3 or 4 to save time, since interior and chassis will be in the same color.

I'm a police car modeler and have purchased at least 30 of the 1992 Revell Chevy Caprice Model and another 15 or so of the modified reissue 94 Impala SS. How's that for nuts? I've built so many variations so I really dont see it as boring...but maybe thats just me...

The way I see building the same kit more than once is that you gat to try diff things when building things twice. You get ideas when building the first and say, "gee, how would this look if.." or "what if I did this.." Then you can have the first model and try the new ideas on a fresh unbuilt kit. Just my POV.

ITR=Integra (popular kit here on AF.com, i think)
