Don't paint it red, because I'm painting my C-West kit in red.
Black looks good. Silver resembles the Japan's Super Endurance racer.

Speaking of the CWest RX-7, anyone know what color adorns the real life CWest RX-7? I thought it was pearl white, but now I think it's some sort of light titanium silver.

it is indeed a light silver. if you look at the box art, then that will give you an idea. that is basically an art version of the real car. try going to www.c-west.co.jp to look for pics of the real car.

Dont paint it black either coz that's my color (see signature) :finger: :finger:

So to sum up, black and red are reserved!!!

I've claimed orange for mine

I think the 'real' car is really light silver, not sure what paint I'd use for it though.

i've claimed yellow for mine!

soon to be stripped and redone. the paint changed colors on me on the left front fender, but the entire paint job was poorly done anyways, so it needs re-doing. also left masking tape on the hood for too long and adhesive remained behind . complete overhaul of this car to be undertaken soon, and i'll be following chris's ideas for filling in the fender gaps etc.

PS sorry about the white crap. i can't figure out how to trim it.

sr20 - the bumper isn't glued on yet, it's just dry-fit in that picture (no glue), so that's part of the reason why such a big gap is there. there is, however, a small gap when you push the bumper all the way in (which is how it would be sitting when glued), so i'm going to have to fill it in with some putty and/or plastic card. if you do a search of the forum, chris (flyonthewall) posted a thread a long time back about how to make improvments to this model to fill the gaps etc. i'm going to try to follow his instructions to fix these small problems. as i said, i'm completely stripping and re-doing the paint soon. this car was my first attempt with an airbrush, and, needless to say, i'm not very good with it. there's massive orange peel, the paint is thicker in some spots then others etc. etc. i plan to spray paint it the same color.

Btw, seriously, are we always going to restrict a color to whoever uses it first? :alien:
(and yes, black is still reserved ... :smoka: )

No, not at all, but when we have a thread like C-West FD3S meet some day, it'd be visually enjoyable to have as many colors as we can gather.
To be specific, mine will be Porsche Guards Red (actual factory paint), so other shade of red is still unclaimed, such as dark blood red of some Alfa.
