320E stalling
I have a 1995 320E which occasionally stalls at low speed or won't start immediately (warm start), unless I wait a couple of minutes. Engine turns over, but has symptoms of vapor lock. My mechanic said I probably got a air bubble, but it's happened about 8 times in as many months. This is a safety issue so I'm concerned about it.
Has anyone else had or heard of this problem? |

I just purchased a used 95 E320 with 43K miles on it. Have had it a month and twice it has stalled out just like you described. First time my wife was driving, second time today at lunch when I was driving. Both times on very (95+) hot days.
Try to find the solution. All the rest of the time it runs great. |

1995 E320 stalling
I just read your comments. In my case the incidents of stalling increased. When it started happening on the freeway, I took it to my local dealer for service. Turns out I had to replace both fuel pumps. Cost a little over $700. Runs fine now and I think my gas mileage has improved.
