New Projectors

Ever since I got the new projectors I have been having trouble with the bulbs. I found that the 9006 type bulbs will fit with a little effort in the 9005 lo-beam spot. Only problem is they keep blowing. Just wondering if the 9006 bulb is crappier or something. Any suggestions?

Haven't tried to mess with the bulbs at all, I just used the ones that came in the projectors... Do the bulbs for the CRX differ from the bulbs that the hatchbacks use?

The headlight are the same as the crx. Same as the bulbs. Thought that maybe the 9005 could carry more current than the 9006. They do work for awhile but I was demoing my stereo last night and after listening to the stereo for awhile and then turning on the headlight they both just went out. I am thinking that the alternator was trying to recharge the battery and the current through my electrical system was more than normal and hence blew the bulbs. Never had this problem when I had the correct type bulbs in there... Hmmmm

i ended up wiring the headlights to use all HI beam bulbs. i took some plugs i had lying around for brights, and wired them up to the regular headlights wires. they do really well with the projectors, since i did notice that the projector dome, although it makes the light a lot more uniform and crisp, it does make it a little bit dimmer. now i have brights and brighters....

even though this wont actually help you in this instance
