Problem starting Civic in damp!?
I have a problem guys. My Civic won't start when it's cool and damp outside. I managed to get it started and took it the autoshop. The guys there couldn't cause it to stall again, so they couldn't figure out what's wrong. They seem pretty sure it's not the plugs or the rotor since it only happens when it's damp and cold. Any way I can figure out what's wrong with my car? Maybe the Fuel Injection System? Thanks

have you checked for ECU trouble codes? it is possible to have them without the check engine light coming on. to check it pull up the carpet under your glove box (pass. side) you'll see a metal box. ECU info at bottom
any other symptoms you have noticed? anything you've change or replaced recently?

Thanks for the reply. I checked the ECU codes. I got code 7 and code 16, Throttle Angle, and Fuel Injector.

I think Gunmens right, get a new Cap and Rotor and make sure that cap is bolted on tight so no water can get in.

well, since gunnmen got the first one, i'll get the second
![]() the fuel injector code will most likely dissappear into thin air after the ecu is reset. however, i would check it out...better to be safe than sorry. do you have a Si? i would check the wires on the injector plug. make sure nothing is loose. look around the injector for gas leakage. it's very faint in color so take a good look. if everything seems to be in order, the next thing would be to get them cleaned. the DX is only dual port so that you can only really get cleaned. i had a lot of troubles with injectors over the last year...not much fun ![]() change that cap & rotor (at least check it) and check out the injectors and you should be good to go
