Tweeters in 2000+

Hey everyone, I got some infinity kappas that are just kinda sitting around in the car. I'm trying to figure out how to mount them towards the rear. I was thinking about mounting them with a couple screws next to the rears. Some people are telling me to put them on the doors, but that would leave a nasty mark, besides these things are pretty damn loud and I don't want to make my passengers deaf. Anyway, any suggestions on placement?

what sort of infinity kappa speakers?
just the tweeters?
or the whole component set?

btw it will never sound too loud as long as you can keep the system well balanced...
with the perfect subs you have got....
haha you will probably want more treble?

10.2t

I kept all the stock bose speakers. Just added the sub and the tweets. I'll be running the other beta 100 to the tweets, so they will have plenty of power. I tried them out and they sound great, but my ears start to get tired after a while if I place them anywhere near the front or even middle. So now I have to figure out how to put them in the back without taking away too much from the sound.

Unfortunately, my system is hooked up to the stock head unit and my infinity amps are tapped into the stock amp. So it's hard to balance the system. Placement, is the easiest way to correct this.

yes you are right
locations of the speakers is one of the most important factors to achieve high SQ
you don't want your tweeters to be behind your ears....
have you ever been to a concert where the singer sings behind you?
you ALWAYS want the music to be coming from the front...
or your ears will get tired real soon...

does the 10.2 t come with a crossover?
try to cross the tweeter at a high frequency or if you can...
run them at -3db/-6db
this way your mid should sound a bit louder

so it seems like the crossover settings could be a solution for you...
don't under estimate them
the quality and settings of the crossover makes huge differences.
