Horespower ratings can be found here.

Personal opinions though?

DX to ZC probably worth it.
Si to ZC what a waste.
Si/DX to B16 well worth it, if thats what you want.
ZC to B16, same as above.

Well, again, that all depends on who you talk to. I dropped in a ZC into my Si, and took it out three days later. It was not worth the price I paid for it. My a6 ran almost as strong. So, I am building up a n/a a6. There are plenty of people on here who say, save for a B16. Again, its up to how much you want to spend, and what you want to do. Also, there are other motors that work. the d16z6/y8 sohc vtec motor, etc.

There are no ZC vtec motors out there. Also, I only know of one supercharger for the ZC motor, and from what I hear, is not all that reliable. Anything can be fast under boost, for a price.

not possable to make a zc vtec, D and B series parts are not compatable, and since there was never a doch vtec D series engine, only B series dohc vtec engines ur looking at something that cannot be done (and i know there is going to be that ONE smartass that come into this post and says "ANYTHING can be done with money", and i would just like to tell that person to shut up, its true but im tired of hearing it)

Maybe he is talking about making a LSVTEC. That requires a b18b block, and a vtec head.

My vote goes for spending the extra money and getting the B16A... I've had the DX motor, I've had the ZC, I have the B16. Its by far the best bang for the buck if you want to build a fast reliable car.

i went from Si to sohc vtec. it wasn't that huge of a jump in HP but i have plans for turbo.

i have the dyno sheet for a zc running 10psi on a $1500 "junkyard" set-up getting 178.1 whp. $500 ZC (or sohc vtec from 92-95 Si/EX or 96-00 EX) + $1500 turbo = 178 whp. b16 is around 130 whp. my personal opinion? i like the underdog (zc or sohc vtec) scenerio. the b series just seems to easy and common for me
