Due Date Jan 2

Hey guys, I have worked on a few models but have never finished one due to many reasons. I promised myself I would finish this mustang model for my girlfriend well I have had it for awhile partiall done. I open it up and parts of it are broken and I'm fed up with that one so I'm going to buy another one(its only $7) and start brand new. There won't be any modifications to it, unless they are very simple. Do you guys think if I start it Dec 21-22 I will be finished by Jan 2? Thanks a lot inadvance.

99 Mustang Cobra Hardtop

PS. Anyone have pictures for inspiration? Also any pics of the under carriage?

What about paint drying? I was thinking that I should be able to get it done in a few days.

I'm going out and buying all the "real" paint for it; satin black, flat back, aluminum and such tonight. So within the next few days you will get to see it. I'll take a lot of pictures throught the progress. It will be good for the n00bs to see what another n00b first work looks like.

Sure, it's very possible. You'll need to plan it out well, though. Also, make sure not to rush ANYTHING during the process, or it'll come out looking really crappy. You'll just need to spend a LOT of time on it, and not lose concentration and mess up. Good luck.

Well I must say the 99 Mustang Hartop the most diffucult model i've ever built. No parts were fitting right, I snapped an axle in half and got fed up with it and trashed it. But i'm sure you are more advanced than I am. Just take your time and it'll come out well im sure. And Ditch those wheels, they are very Un-Realistic and small... Good Luck!

It is possible. As people have already said, just takes good planning.

Are you working or anything? Because if you aren't, it should be easily finished.

Well technically I am working but I can make my own hours Also I have to finish working up on my 1:1 scale car before my vacation is up. I have to actually sand it all out and prep it for paint Then I have to rewire my whole stereo and finish up a sub box.

Well everyone I found out AFTER I started cutting the roof because I was frustrated with it since I thought I had broken one off the front windows that there were really no windows. Luckly I barely cut it into it and I think I can sand it all out and I will just use this body. The reason why I say this is today when I went to Michaels they had NO mustangs left! I completly forgot that it was xmas and kids "dream" about mustangs(until they find out how much they break down hehe) and every kid wants one. So tomorrow I am going to try out the other craft store that I can use my coupon at and pray that they have one. If they don't i will have to find away to change around the shift boot/knob because I lost it(I was thinking of using one of my teg ones).

Wish me luck.... too bad my friend doesn't like the Z8 since they had 2 left and I could have gotten it for about $7 tops and I would have had more fun building that hehe
