4 12's in a Hatch
Currently i have a hunk o shit car (92 ford probe) with 2 12" eclipse aluminum dvc subs in the back with a alpine 1500 watt amp pushin em. i am getting ready to purchase a 5th gen civic hatch and plan 2 double this setup= 4 12"s and 2 v12 amps. im gonna do all fiberglass. the thing is that ive never heard a system in that style car b4 so do you think that my current setup is loud enough or should i double it and go big time with it. i have to knwo for sure b4 i go build a fiberglass box and change my mind?

Maybe you should just get some nicer subs than you have now and a bigger amp. You could make 2 subs sound just as good as 4 subs.

that setup u have now is fine... i bet with those subs and amp ur pushing 140dB easy. The only reason to try doubling everything would be for more of a show look. Those subs and that amp is a very strong setup both from an SPL and SQ standpoint. Add all fiberglass mounting and u already have a killer setup. unless its easy to part with the money for u i would recommend keeping what you have.
One of my buddie's has a 5th gen hatch with 2 JL10W3's powered by a 500watt RMS eclipse amp. Its VERY VERY VERY loud.

Every car ahs a different sound and SPL. I would do 2 15's before I did 4 12's ........ the SPL potential should be about the same if it is speakers from the same line.
