2 domestics in one day

So I'm driving to work in the morning yesterday and a camaro pulls up next to me in traffic. I'm looking at it and i just had to laugh. An American ricer? It was a v6 camaro with an "RS" decal huge on the door, i guess hes pround to have a 6 cylinder camaro. On top of that, euro tails and yes a import style stainless muffler. He was looking my way so when the light turned, I got behind him and when a space opened i moved in the other lane. He took off and i just went right past him. I was a huge distance ahead and then i slowed and pulled in the turn lane to turn, and wouldnt you know he flys by and revs up.

I'm driven home fron the video store the same day. I was just minding myself and a 80's transam flys by me from behind. I see that the light coming up is red so i just get into the lane next to him. The light turns and he floors it and spins his tires. I just waited for him to actually start to go and then i went. I was a little behind in first, even in second, and third pulled away. I went into fourth and was way ahead. I hit the hazards once and slowed down and then he flashed his headlights and got behind me and stayed there even though both lanes around me were open. I just had to share how stupid he prob felt. It was just some redneck was was probably like wtf?

Hey hey... watch the Redneck comments there...

Where ya located at? I'll give you a run for your money... Got enough torque to pull the ass right out of a Cat.

Good kills though....

But you beat a V6 RS in a straight line, try it in the twisties next time... maybe he'll show you what the Rally Sport tuned suspension is used for. I guess the owner forgot what he payed the extra money for?

And also glad you beat a 145hp V8. Almost nothing good came out of the 80s Obviously the owner forgot his car was fast... back in 84. Not 17 years later.

The '85 Corvette was the only real good thing to come from the 80s, first year of the TPI 350, 330hp stock. Too much power, so they had to DE-tune the motors to 280hp '86. Think about that.

i'm down here in south florida. I know what you mean about the 80's cars. My first was an 87 camaro iroc and my friend had an 88 camaro rs. I was dissapointed with that car and it was in the shop every other week. I need to get my car down to the rack or at least on a dyno. With the jdm b18c boosted at 10psi, i should be laying down a good 250 horse although not all to the wheels of course.

That's it? You need to talk to hybridsol about that...he'll cure that problem quick.

I love those stories

Nice racing, I grew up in ST PETE FL, and got a little tired of all the Stangs and F-body cars running around. If and when I move back to the states I'll have a little something for those YankTanks as well.
Or maybe we could race one day SushiSled VS RiceRocket!!:smoker2:
