Panel line question
Are panel lines on the door handles OK?? I notice some don't but to me it looks incomplete.
Here are some pics of my Altezza which I did the door handles and the front grill Here is the front grill with a panel line Let me know what you think. |

I think it looks best when you are consistant and do all the major lines.

Sorry it's not a kit, its my Mini Z Altezza body. I haven't done a panel line in a long time and was testing my pen.

If the door handle detail is good i will do it, but a lot of kits its not the best so most times i leave it out

On flush-mounted handles, I always draw in a line under the handle, where one's fingers curl underneath; there's always a shadow there anyways.

Hey MaukaRunner,
The car looks great. Now how did u get the panel lines so perfect and what did u use? I'm working on a pennzoil skyline and still deciding whether to put on the panel lines or not. |

This is what I use it is a Koh-I-Noor Technical Pen
The size is 0000 cost about $20 I am supprised that no one mentions this technique. It is much simpler than the capilary method. I learned this technique from a friend 10 years ago so it shouldn't be something new. Hope this helps! Oh Calsonic GT Practice on a old or junk model before doing it on your current project since the ink is somewhat permenant. Last edited by MaukaRunner; 01-10-2003 at 08:37 PM. |
