Max vs. Modified Mustang

Can my 96' Maxima SE 5 speed beat a 96' Mustang 5 speed with exhaust, headers, and cold air. His car is not a GT and I dont think his modifications are the best on the market. He talks alot of crap and said quote "I aint afraid of no Maxima".:sun:

So the Slowstang has a V-6?

If it has a V-6 you can eat him alive. Only 150hp in that thing.

If its a V-8, which has to either be a GT or a Cobra, which you say he doesn't have. You could probably hold your own against a GT too, especially since you have a higher redline. You'd get roasted by a Cobra.

Just like MaxP said, you can spank dat a$$ if it's a V6, my friend has a V6 slushstang and he was talking all dat weak a$$ $h_t and I handed him his @$$ 3 times I walked him like a dog on a 6 car length leash.

Anway, be careful of the V8, the displacement alone can creep upon you if he get the lead it'll be hard to beat him, just don't overrev and spin out the tires.

Also the GT is actually slower the the non-GT model of the slushstang because of the heavier body cladding and the dumb-@$$ wing. So watch out for that version you're up against.

Whatever you do MaxP is right, unless you want your a$$ handed to you, don't try to race that Cobra, he'll piss all over you.

If you're anything like me, hell I don't care, even if I know he can beat me, I'll still race him. I had my a$$ handed to me by a Vette a couple of weeks ago, but I had fun making him work for it.
I know he was thinking, damn I gotta put the hammer down just to get past this family car.

When he passed by me he was looking surprised that I was running not too far behind him.
