How much power can standard mod bring you?

Hey guys
I have a 99 P11 with a 96kw (130hp) SR20DE
by doing the
air filter,
extractors,
2 1/4 catback exhaust,
AFC.

How much power do you think this can bring you...
after that is it worth getting the JWT cams?

and with that power gain do you actually get increase in performance?

I'd guess you would get about 15-25 hp. The AFC is the one thing I'm unsure of. The filter and exhaust will only get you a few hp (maybe 5 or so). The extractors, if they are really good ones, can get you as much as 15 (HotShot). Even headers that are just OK should give you 8 or so hp.

The JWT cams will get you 10-15 hp.

Yes, you will feel the difference in performance.

I was told that the cams on the new 99+ primera are smaller than the older ones..this is one of the reason of the 14kw drop between the 96kw and the 110 kw version?
well...
will changing to the JWT cams bring me the extra 15hp as well as the14kw lost through the phase change of the SR20DE?
if so then we are talking about 30hp increase here
;p
and just out of curiousity...
do you think with this level of mod it can take the Primera to the level which it can compete with the DOHC VTEC Integra or the 2.2 DOHC Prelude?Standard?

I'm not sure about that. You get a different version than we do. I know the cams changed on our engines over the years. What happened in our case is the power stayed the same, but the power band changed a pretty fair amount. The newer engines seem to respond to cams more than the older engines

Hard to say. It often doesn't work out like that.

Do you have a roller rocker engine? If so, JWT doesn't have cams for it yet. I would still guess you would see about 15 hp from the new cams when they are available though, but I admit, I'm guessing.

I actually have no idea. I don't really pay much attention to other cars. I don't street race and on the race track there are few cars than can compete with the Sentra SE-R (SR20DE powered B13). Of course in club racing, the 240Z (one of the two most developed race cars in history) is about 3-4 seconds faster than us, but we have about 3-4 seconds I think we can get through development. But, this isn't what you asked.

The Primera should be pretty potent on the track.

The main differences between the 130bhp (96kW) and 150bhp (110kW) SR20 engines are the intake cam, exhaust manifold, exhaust, and ECU mappings.

I've just sold Neil (Neil82 on this forum) the intake cam and exhaust manifold from a 110kW 1998 Primera GT, so speak to him in a month or so and I'll sure he'll let you know what difference those two mods gave him.

The 1999 Primera does indeed use roller rocker cams, and therefore JWT do not currently have any cams that will work on your car. They are in development I believe, but I have no idea as to a release date...

Hi I have spoke with JWT and they told me that the cams will be between october -december

YOU will need at least cai pullies header cams to get the 2.2 v-tech prelude this car run in 15 sec 1/4 mile
