Hello,

this is actually a Lamborghini Diablo modified by Roland Affolter into the Affolter Evolution GTR Roadster, note that this car actually features a glass roofsection that slides automatically (by electric motors) away from the seats.

Very impressive and great looking ... I have some photo's of it online, take a look at :

Kind regards,

i like your site! i often come there!!!
is the gtr based on the gt?
what kinds of lamborghini diablo´s did mr affolter "upgrade"?
i love his cars! if i would buy a lamborghini it would be a hard decision between a 2001 lamborghini Diablo 6.0 Se in gialli orio (the gold colour) or ome of his models

Hello,

Affolter will tune / modify any model Diablo you like, from the standard 2wd model from the early Nineties right up to the 1999 models or even the VT 6.0.

The Evolution GTR was based on a normal Diablo, not even a Roadster, the conversion was performed by Affolter.

He is rather expensive from what I've heard, but the result is stunning, trust me, I've seen this light blue car in person and was very impressed with the fit and finish of the conversion.

I would rather buy an Affolter than any standard Diablo, either a GTR Roadster or the black GTR LeMans version which is also featured on the Lamborghini Cars site.

i heard that the prices of the (used) (preoned) tuned lamborghinis are much cheaper than the (used) ( preoned) normal lambos.
so my decision wouldn´t be to hard!
afolter is so sweet !
@ lambo i have seen the pics on your hp of the afoltter.
which is based on which modell?
because there are some with different colouts

Hello,

don't be blinded by these price wars ... I don't really believe an Affolter or an Al Burtoni Lamborghini will be cheaper when compared to a 'normal' model, both have a rock solid reputation and their 'tuned' cars are regarded as works of art.

Naturally there are always people who look for the closest thing to when it left the factory, but I'm not one of those, sure a factory specs Miura SV is great, but I would prefer a Jota replica anytime, even if it's not one of the five original ones, I just love the 'on steriods' look.

As for the base of an Affolter GTR, the very first ones were based on the two wheel drive model, later the VT and the SV were used, it all depends on what you want, I would go for a VT with the GTR LM bodykit and install massive Wwork wheels, possibly dark blue/purple pearl metallic with a light grey leather/alcantara interior or a silver metallic with a dark red leather upholstery ... would be great
